The “state” I’m referring to is simple:
A company that was expected to be revoked, delisted, and gone… isn’t. DBMM escaped revocation and Caveat Emptor, and it’s still publicly trading. That fact alone is enough to disrupt the thesis of those who expected the shares to go to zero without a fight.
As for your comments about Linda, LTI funding, or the business model—that’s not what I’m focused on. My focus is the mechanics:
Naked shorts were counting on DBMM’s demise.
It didn’t happen.
And now, if the company chooses to implement a backstop like a preferred share dividend, it forces a reconciliation that cannot be avoided.
You’re free to believe the company has “taken no action.” But survival is an action. Regaining compliance is an action. And when those actions set up the next move, time will tell how it plays out.
