Sleven, understood. If Amarin has them over a barrel, the benefit may be a quicker resolution. And if Denner wants this done sooner rather than later (the trial doesn't even begin for a year and a half - if it stays on schedule - and then there are appeals...), then maybe they get what they want.

Obviously, we have no idea what's really going on, either with the lawsuit or with Amarin and Denner. It's possible that a "win" doesn't really get them the U.S. market back (because of 7 other generics), and maybe they have something else in their back pocket for the U.S. market (like the new formulation). So a positive settlement may get them most of the way to where they would have been, had they gone to trial and appeals, and eventually "won".
