The researchers who are working on drug development in Biogen, Lilly, etc. are not experts in Alzheimer's Disease; they are experts in designing and creating monoclonal antibodies against a specified target. These companies would therefore have more of a chance of developing anti-cancer drugs than S1R drugs or some other novel AD approach.
