That doesn't make any sense. The NFL is the biggest juggernaut that there is. They simply dwarf all other sports. They are so big that they own a day of the week that used to belong to the church(Stolen from "Concussion"). The worst thing that could ever happen to them is for there to be a scandal that would imply that they were trying to influence the outcome of certain games or any game for that manner. So, there isn't any way that they would ever risk that. In fact, they bend over backwards to try and make it as level a playing field as possible. Much more so than any other sport out there.
