underpar71,
NWBO hired consultant Wes Christian years ago and then ambassador Cofer Black for a position on the BOD in 2015 to work against manipulation. Together they developed a case they were able to present to Cohen which they accepted. The issue has been developing the tools to prove malfeasance and law breaking. Wes Christian started his crusade against market manipulators many years ago with a lawsuit loss for a client who he knew well but couldn’t get arguments to hold up in court because of how the perps were able to hide everything even when everyone knew what they were up to. His friend from church lost his business because of being targeted by folks willing to take his business down just for their profit and Wes basically made it his business to figure out how to combat this kind of abuse.
Knowing something is happening is different than proving that what is going on is the cause of damage to one’s business. Even with the advantage of time, the NWBO complaint originally submitted by Cohen on their behalf was denied and had to be resubmitted. Jumping to conclusions about how easy the company should have had it defending against manipulation is easy but certainly not valid. Just the time and effort involved trying to make a point can be too much for a small cash strapped company which is all part of the strategy to get them to fold. Best wishes.
