Regarding the change to a 10 week dose ramp: There is one popular nutritional regiment that I am currently following that includes MCT oil. The MCT oil is recommended to be ramped up very slowly. It makes a huge difference. For many or most, including myself, the MCT oil makes you feel pretty sick if you go to full dose right away. But, I then ramped slowly to full dose, and it has proved to be very beneficial for me, with absolutely no negatives. This experience for me is recent, so as I read about this change to the 2-73 regimen, it makes total sense. Glad they found a better avenue. Too bad they didn't find it before the P2B/3. I wonder how many of the early study dropouts would not have dropped out if they had used the slower dose ramp. You could worry that the ones that dropped out would not have had a good long term result, but I wonder more whether that group was more sensitive to 2-73 because they produce less Sigma 1 naturally so that their sensors or feedback loop are ramped to (railed at) full sensitivity, and so were overwhelmed. I have seen those feedback loops take over a month to adjust. 6 weeks is what I remember. That group might have had a high percentage of super responders if ramped in dose over 10 weeks instead of 2 1/2 weeks. I hope they looked for another genetic marker for that group. Maybe instead of 10 weeks the optimal ramp would be something like 6 weeks without that marker and 12 weeks with that genetic marker.
