The brand name company loses a large percent of market share as soon as a generic comes to market. A second generic coming to market doesn’t affect the brand name company much. My GUESS is Purdue will try to negotiate a payment from Elite to settle the suit. If Elite does not agree, Purdue continues the litigation for a few more months, then probably loses. Elite has to decide if getting their generic to market quicker is worth the price. This is just speculation on my part.
