I have received messages from Schwab in the past day or so informing me about my option to allow them pay me to lend out shares in my account.

Not assuming anything, I emailed my broker there to see if this were a targeted or a more general solicitation. His response? "This is selectively sent to a client who holds a security that is in demand for security lending (borrowing/shorting)."

Given my holdings, the stock in question is definitely AVXL. I am not going to sign up for this deal.

So be aware the shorts here are running out of ammo and looking to replenish.
