I find it incredible and perplexing that a company that has produced, what, $20k in revenue over its 25-year existence has over 200k posts devoted to it on the this board. As someone in this industry, I’ve followed this company with a mix of bewilderment and horror at its continued existence, continued empty promises, and utterly abject failure to deliver anything of value to the networking industry or its shareholders.

If its polymer-based modules possess the advantages Lightwave’s management claims they do, they would have been able to monetize that somehow by now. But they don’t and so the only achievements they can boast of are patent applications (LOL) and intentionally vague if not completely misleading PR releases purporting interest in their technology. They don’t partner with any university or industry research labs or consortiums, don’t publish in journals, and don’t even have any career openings listed on their web site.

I question that at this point in its existence that this company does any meaningful work or research at all.
