It was disappointing not to hear any details on who else the company is working with. Yves stated they could not because of NDAs in place but it likely won't happen until there is a contractual agreement in place. More disappointment and surprise came from the guidance that they will be moving away from the idea of selling their own modulators but instead encouraging the incorporation of polymers into the designs of other manufacturer through materials and licensing. It should not be a total surprise. While it was an exciting and attractive idea as part of the previous roadmap, the company likely ran into pushback from other manufacturers as they would have to compete with LWLG for sales. Hesitancy of signing deals could very well have been related to that. It doesn't make sense to financially feed your competitor. There will be more companies looking to use the materials if LWLG was a supplier and facilitator for them with no threat of competition. It would preserve company funds going forward more than trying to be too much at this early stage, especially as a small company that needs polymers to get accepted as quickly as the industry allows.

On the plus side I I did like Yves emphasizing how far ahead polymers were to the competition for the next generation material and how the ease of integration, proven high volume manufacturing and single lane speed for future needs puts it out front. Yeah, we kind of knew that already but it was good to hear him emphasize it. The take away from the update was a focus on expediting deals and getting polymers into wide usage. Let companies compete with one another, stay out of the fight and be the seller of shovels in a gold rush.
