Derf, Yes, on the 'crooked scale', the insurance sector would probably be somewhere between Big Agro and Big Pharma. Next would come the defense contractors, and lower still would be Big Finance, Blackrock / Blackstone. Then at the pit of the corporate 'Dante's Inferno' would be the central banks themselves -- the Fed, Bank of England, etc, who sit at the apex of the entire crooked pyramid. As stock investors, our job is to identify which of the above are the most adept / efficient within their sphere of crookedness. Kind of depressing actually..
