Good evening Adam,

My summary after conducting some online research and clarifying the terms and possible status that LWLG might currently be in, considering the intense debate taking place here. :

After the many interviews and quarterly reports (SEC), which reference collaborations with the (largest) TIER1 partners, we can conclude that it is highly likely that Lightwave Logic's 4x200G PIC is under a Non-Disclosure Agreement with a potential TIER1 customer. Working under an NDA is common in the industry, especially for products or technologies in a critical development or qualification phase.

The status "in qualification" indicates that the PIC is currently undergoing testing and validation by the manufacturer or a potential customer (such as a TIER1 partner). This process involves extensive technical tests to confirm that the product meets specific performance and reliability standards.

During this phase, the PIC may be customized to meet the specific requirements of a TIER1 customer. This can take place under NDA because such adaptations often involve competitive information about both the customer and the supplier.

If the PIC is being evaluated by a TIER1 customer, Lightwave Logic may be limited in what they can disclose publicly. This can create the perception that the product is not ready, even though it may be actively undergoing customer testing.

The qualification phase is often the final step before a product is commercially launched. Successful completion means the PIC meets the customer’s requirements and can be integrated into their product portfolio or production environment.

Because the evaluation is happening under NDA, Lightwave Logic may not be able to share details. This can lead to speculation that the PIC isn’t ready, even if that’s not the case.

The term "in qualification" may be interpreted by some investors as "not ready." In reality, it means the product is already far along in the development process.

Qualifying a PIC like the 4x200G requires testing at multiple levels (optical, electrical, thermal) and can take several months, especially if tailored for a TIER1 partner.

If the qualification is successful, it could lead to:
- A commercial deal with a TIER1 customer.
- An exclusivity agreement imposing further NDA restrictions.
- Integration of the PIC into large-scale production.

The status "in qualification" indicates that the PIC is in a crucial validation phase. Under an NDA, this process may occur quietly, creating the impression of no progress while significant advancements are being made. Successful completion of this phase would be a major milestone in Lightwave Logic's commercial strategy.
