Xena, In Atwill's narrative, Jesus was merely a literary creation by the Romans for their broader purpose --> a fabricated story to chill out Judea. Unfortunately for us today, it reduces Christianity to a fairly tale, and weakens the underpinings of Western Civ. With a break down of traditional family, religion, gender roles, society is then adrift and much easier to control and dominate. That's why the NWO crowd loved 'Caesar's Messiah'.
