Argh, here I am again reading one of your posts.

I believe the share price shot up initially because Dr. Lebby made clear at the 2021 ASM that they could mass produce modulators using foundries. He made it clear that there would be no large capital influx needed for a production facility.  I realized this during the ASM, paused it and went in my Roth brokerage account and bought 5000 more shares.

I am an investor, and I have always looked at Lightwave as a long term investment. I have seen and heard enough about where the photonics industry is and where Lightwave is to know that what Dr. Lebby talked about in 2021 is about to happen. He said the first product would be 200g per lane modulators and 800g and 1600g PAM4 and 8. We saw the 200g per lane at this years ASM. This is not only where Lightwave is, but it is where the customers are too, these are the speeds they want, and Lightwave's tech improves legacy silicon photonics to meet that need.

I believe Dr. Lebby thought they could get the PDKS in place at foundries sooner and that it took longer than expected. I have seen credible sources say it takes YEARS to put PDKS in place.  I also believe part of the reason it took longer is they kept finding ways to improve the product and the process.

I an encourage people to rewatch the 2021 ASM and see for themselves what he said.
