I wonder whether these large moves like today are driven mostly by:
a) traders just trying to milk the volatility up and down, or
b) efforts to provide lower exit points for the shorts who are increasingly anticipating significant near term news, or
c) big players wanting lower entry points again as they are also increasingly anticipating significant near term news, or
d) all of the above, or
e) something else?
Which do you hypothesize provides the major contribution for today's volatility?
I'm hoping it is b & c!
