NWBO has consistently stated NICE has been supportive and attentive over the years (Perhaps NICE cooperation is rightly/wrongly interpreted as MHRA cooperation). DCVax-l received the first Promising Innovative Medicine designation with the UK in 2014 from MHRA (Perhaps the compassionate program along with PIM rightly/wrongly interpreted as MHRA cooperation). Just prior to submitting NWBO’s MAAs in December 2023, the UK instituted another 150 day accelerated process for well drafted MAAs and for therapies treating urgent indications. The COVID vaccine had been approved over the course of a few months at the end of 2020. Prior to 2024, the MHRA approved the Sawston facility for clinical/compassionate/commercial production of cellular products. (Perhaps this was rightly/wrongly construed as MHRA cooperation)

The fog of progress and the flux of progress existed at the beginning of 2024, but the monthly updates and one page visuals in association with the real progress being made with literally thousands of MAAs became clear as 2024 marched on. For companies like NWBO, it seemed like same old same old hurry up and wait, but in reality, as anyone can see, the progress should be catching up with us.
