To me this appears the last days of selling related to taking tax losses to offset gains in other stocks. The only problem the seller has is the wash rule which requires that the shares not be repurchased within 30 days. If MAA approval comes before the one year anniversary of the filing ( December 23, 2023), the wash sale rule becomes effective.
