So here is the deal, and I hope I have interpreted it correctly.
If Sen. Rubio resigns less than 2 years before the next general election, the Governor appoints someone to the seat and the appointment ends after the next general election.
So, DeSantis will decide who replaces Sen. Rubio if I interpreted what I read correctly.
The seat is safe for the Republicans.
On another topic, U do understand that California has a slew of extra seats in the House due to the increase in population resulting from illegal immigration.
