WV as you probably know broke from Virginia to be on the side of the Union in the civil war.....Kept the lights on and powered the industrial revolution with their mines.....Still furnish the steel industry coking coal...

Never have understood why dems got so high and mighty that they do the naming calling they've done and still do.......The working class was once their base.... Also its never good to break social contracts or so the founders thought.......
