I've lived on the barrier islands right on the sand for 25+ years---moved to the bay side several years ago---drove up and down the beach Sunday and was shocked to see it in person----every house/business has piles of debris and sand in front same as I did---most houses inhabitable---many destroyed--some had first floors completely filled with sand...heartbreaking
