yes, though Janice isn't here to chime in, most will say it is okay to not kill your pork. It's safe to let it even be a little pink on the inside..

There was a time when trichinosis was hurting people .. It really doesn't happen anymore but we still need to be careful if the regulations on food safety get lifted..
