Why do you need to worry about Direct trials now? Do we have a lot of information on DCVax-L to digest? Direct trial was done almost 10 years ago. Dramatic changes have happened over the past ten years. Ten years ago, DCVax-L lacked efficacy for large established tumor. Now DCVax-L in combination with other drugs has significant efficacy in treating large established tumors. Owain James had only half tumor removed and the constant attack from the immune system made the rest half shrink into a cyst. As shown in the combo trial, today minimum 2g tumor tissue is enough to make the vaccine. I think they had to need more ten years ago. Direct is for patients who have metastasized cancer, or tumor not removable or reachable by surgery, or not enough tumor tissue to make the vaccine. I think today some of these old issues are not issues any more. It is just my opinion.
