Sorry to tell you this but there is no way the mets can be eliminated before monday. It is impossible.
The idea that the mets gained an advantage is absurd. The mets bullpen and atlanta bullpen and players are being used just the same as the brewers and the yankees and what ever other team in the playoffs. And plenty of years teams played less than 162, just look at the 1988 mets for example. If the games don't matter they have historically not played those games, and the idea that seeding matter is insane. Both teams are playing on the road. The only teams that are at a disadvantage is the braves and mets and deservingly so because of there records.
The mets this week have looked terrible. I get that. It is only 2 games. I know everyone likes to ignore the graphic that the mets have the best record in baseball since june 1rst, I think that is earning it don't you think. This isn't some small stretch it is 4 months. They are 15-7 in the month of september. I mean if the mets lose these game down the stretch they didn't earn it, I always told you 89-90 was the number I have been saying it for months. if they get there they deserve it, if they don't than they don't it is that simple. For themets to get in they will need at least 89, and possibly 90. I don't see what the problem is. If they don't win these games they don't deserve it in my opinion it is that simple.
