If the Mets sweep this series, and there's no reason they shouldn't, not much has to go right for them to be in decent shape for the WC series.

end result is they are gonna have to make the trip most likely and use a ton of bullpen, so end result regardless what the mets do they were put in a compromised situation unless some very unpossible combo comes out those games are gonna matter for someone. Hence all I have to root for is they make it (which I will of course) and to be less severely compromised (By actually having a starting pitcher to pitch the game on tuesday with a overused and tired bullpen in a game that gets played in the bullpen). thanks to baseball who could and should of avoided a DH with a playoff game the next day.

if the mets win 90 they should get in. To me the number has always been 90. If you win 90 you should make the playoffs it is that simple. Admittingly will feel like us mets fans have been had if they win 90 and don't make the playoffs. That is 18-8 this month if that happens. This year I will remember as the year the mets got ripped off because with a three wc system you are gonna find it hard to find 90 win teams miss the playoffs. And to be honest 90 win teams are playoff teams in my opinion. Anything with and 8 take your chance if they win 3/5 they deserve to make the playoffs that is how I feel anyways. All is just my opinion of course.
