abew, I didn't insinuate that Dr. Jin was responsible for the failed juvenile rett trial - but you knew that. He was at the company while it was ongoing and certainly could have been consulted about the ongoing trial and its design. If he was, then he wasn't listened to. If he wasn't then obviously that is not his role.

Dr. Jin is a statistician. He is not an AD or PD or MS trial expert. How the trials are designed is as much a business decision as it is a medical decision. Dr. Jin comments on the math, not the science, as I understand it. I think you are reading the quote you cited and emphasizing parts that are not meant to be emphasized, thereby giving false meaning to it.

Dr. Jin is an asset but he is not designing the trials - he should be a part of the team designing the trials, however.
