It is somewhat related to NWBO. If I am not mistaken, both targets which the approval covers were mentioned in the poly-iclc trial and the patients are still alive.
The approval was through Project Orbis which the company applied for. It was not the FDA which recommended the Project Orbis.
Dr. Timothy Cloughesy, the PI of the combo trial did a lot of consulting for Servier which owns the approved drug.
