We all know that Movano uses RF technology to gather biometric information and that the rest of the world uses infrared to gather the same information. We also know that RF is unaffected by skin pigmentation…an advantage.
The real question is whether the quality of the raw data is better for RF as far as accuracy and precision. If it’s just another approach to get the same quality of data…the only advantage is that it avoids the patent “ minefield” associated with IR.
They have significant technology in the software to massage the raw data but the initial quality of the numbers is important as the starting point.
The FDA will be interested in whether it’s truly a better technology.
