That is true "to begin with" after the dust settles you will see everyone selling out and the company selling new shares and stock coming back down to where it was before the split. A reverse split means only 1 thing - 'THE COMPANY IS IN DIRE STRAIGHTS'. Don't forget also after the split the company will sell MILLIONS of shares to take advantage of the rise in price and let all other stockholders fend for themselves. I don't think I have ever seen a reverse split where the company survives and keeps the initial split price. Good luck if you plan on holding thru the split. The company is only true to itsself not the stockholders.
