To break up the monotony of this depressing place, here is some new info in TFLN. This is work affiliated with AFR, one of the handful of companies actively working on TFLN development.

Let's forget about the added cost and manufacturing complexities of TFLN compared to EOP and do a quick comparison on this state of the art.

This is an improved method to build a TFLN modulator and the Vpi is 3.2V, length is 5mm, and bandwidth is 67Ghz.

LWLG is already FAR ahead of that. And is cheaper and simpler to manufacture. And already proven to be scaled with 200mm silicon wafers.

LWLG is at 1V, ~1mm, and ~90Ghz.
