Then why not put out a call for voting on something every quarter with specific reasoning as an exercise to flush out potential naked shorts?

Good question....I suppose it would make the company look like they are on a witch hunt...

In any event, I believe the shareholders emotions on the current proxy vote will bring out a larger than normal vote and thus have an opportunity to size up the naked short position...I believe one exists , but not 1B shares as rumor has it...Maybe 100M to 300M. If it is that low, that you would need at least 80% of shares to vote to ascertain if a short portion exists.


Maybe calling shareholders to vote will get many more to vote. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see the total number of votes cast.
