Lightwave is a long shot and for now is dead money so it's no wonder that there is a drop-off in discussion and the "hardened more than ever" crowd continues to try and reassure themselves while they go into retreat mode..

There just isn't much enthusiasm here by anyone anymore. Traders will trade but the questions will remain and doubts cannot help but exist at this point..

This has become an "In KCC We Trust stock". That really is not a good situation for investors to be in.

Unconfirmed "mystery" discussions of what looks similar to insider information (imo) with a "high level executive" at Lightwave are a real sign of desperation at this point as long as Marcelli is among the contenders - and he definitely is.

Serious investors avoid stocks like Lightwave, or they put a small portion of their money into it as a "just in case" situation.

After the long overdue lowering of expectations - which had to happen after the Dec 4 letter - revelations at ASM this can only be seen as a gamble at this point with the low likelihood of near term excitement (Dr Lebby said they hope to have more data in 6 to 9 more months, among many other things), and the high level of uncertainty as to their place in the industry for the long term.

But what can they really hope for realistically? IMO nothing more than a "we are working together" announcement which will string investors along once again..they just aren't close enough to expect anything more than that, and I"m not sure that would bring much more than a 1 or 2 point pop.
