*SDVOSB stands for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. SDVOSBs are small businesses that are owned and operated by service-disabled veterans. The Veterans Benefit Act of 2003 established the SDVOSB Program, which provides federal contracting assistance to service-disabled veterans. The program requires that businesses that are not small submit subcontracting plans that include goals for awards to SDVOSBs. Executive Order 13360 also ensures that SDVOSBs receive at least 3% of all federal acquisitions.
