LWLG’s tech is compatible with InP.

What you see in the marketplace today is a type of modulator called an electro-absorption modulator or an externally modulated laser.

It’s a different method to modulate and generally is a laser/modulator combo.

Polymer on InP modulators use the electro-optic (Pockels) effect.

My observation and hunch is that right now LWLG is focusing all of its efforts on the polymer/silicon integration and put the InP work on the back burner. Perhaps LWLG will license it’s material to a foundry like SmartPhotonics for others to build devices with.
