I'll have to disagree with you on that one. He has only stopped a few of prosecution questions, one concerning Fanni's kids. Another about sex. But he's allowed other lines of questioning that is questionable like wanting to know more about her relationships from years ago... but she shut down the lawyer herself.
What he's done in the past should have no bearing on the present in front of him. I can't say if his selection was random or not.

That is probably in the earlier transcripts of the startup of the hearing.
