The snow will be gone today or tomorrow... Floods next. We had flooding a couple weeks ago after back to back storms dropped up to 7.5 inches (19 cm). Some people had a meter of water in their basements, and they had never had any problems before. Not quite like Rooster's caravan park down there in Dumfuckistan, but practically biblical by our standards. Oh... and the power and internet was out for 2 days. It's a good thing we have a generator and alcohol.

From Meteorologist Scot Haney in the Channel 3 First Alert Weather Center...
Today, 1/9/24 (First Alert Weather Day): Cloudy. A brief wintry mix is possible over the higher terrain of CT before changing to rain this afternoon, rain likely elsewhere. High: 37 inland, 42 shore.
Tonight: Rain becomes heavier toward and after sunset, at the same time the wind intensifies. Rain will be heavy tonight as temperatures climb as milder air overspreads the state. Isolated thunderstorms can’t be ruled out. Wednesday: The heaviest rain and strongest wind gusts end around daybreak. Thereafter, expect at least partial clearing. An isolated rain or snow shower can’t be ruled out. Temps peak early, in the mid-50s, then drop into the 40s by afternoon.
