Happens all the time in systems where animals are stressed! In unstressed conditions the population does tend to have similar growth rates on a given feed input. SHMP shrimp live in a very stressed environment, so the grow at different rates. SHMP has NO technology that elevates this stress giving low growth rates for given feed inputs, and differential growth rates for individuals in the stressed environment. Pretty easy explanation actually.
