I believe AD has not sold any shares "as a long"

but is it possible that, with all the "shifting" of shares between the 8 or more different AD controlled entities,

that one entity shorted shares and then the other entity bought the equivalent shares,

so that he can claim he never "sold any shares"?

I would think this should be illegal but I believe that lots of activity on Wall Street should illegal but it is not.
