I don't get this love for Yamamoto that everyone is having don't get me wrong, he has potential. But he has not thrown one pitch in the big leagues yet. I know his age is appealing, and I get the potential, and I get senga success helps. But this guy might get a 8/250 million contract for a unproven pitcher in the majors. if he is an ace you got what you paid for. If he is anything less you overpayed. I understand why every team is after him and it could very well work, but I can see it backfiring.

Ohtani I think can still be a really good hitter, but I truely believe the days of getting pitching and hitting out of him are over. Hence your getting a guy who is probably a 10 year 300 million player which you will get alot of good year from hitting, but your paying 10/500 is my guess, maybe more. I'll pass. Let the dodgers sign him I agree.

For me I get Yamamoto just see the risks of the deal. he is probably worth the risk considering his age. But even if they do sign him that better not be it, they need two more.

I wouldn't quit on 2024 just yet. If the snakes and fish can make the playoffs given the predictions for them at the start of the 2023 season, anyone can get in. I get that. The fact is I never thought I would have to since the new ownership coming in, now I feel as negative as I ever thought I would. I keep hoping I will fell differently, but they need so much to actually be good next year in my opinion. And this constant stuff I read about Alonso with trade rumours is bothering me as well.

And learn to love your GM! It cracked me up when I read "your former GM..." Or is there someone else you would have preferred? Bring back Brodie?

You caught that. That was very subtle. But can't say I was overly impressed by his mangerial choice. And the fact that these Alonso rumors keep floating isn't exactly making me thrilled. Of course I don't want to bring brodie back, he was awful by default he has to better than him or eppler. And yes I wanted him, but was with the understandng it would come with your manager. Not a inexprianced guy from all the teams who was the bench coach on one of the worst yankee teams I have seen in roughly 3 decades that did so much wrong. So that is not a plus in my mind, maybe he surprises me but when I see inexperianced managers, I think of Rojas and Callaway, you can see why inexperiance gives me pause in my opinion.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
