COVID has had and will continue to have a profound effect on killing and delaying the dreams of many here. But let’s not forget that Spiber was able to advance its brew goo into a product during this time too. That should serve as an example and a beacon of hope that things can still get done in the face of adversity. Kim and Jon have not had their boots on the ground in Vietnam in well over a year, right? Is that going all in? Is that keeping an eye on things? I still believe they should go to Vietnam and not come back until production — on a mass scale — has been firmly established. Do any of us work as hard when the boss is not around or doesn’t care enough to check in with us and our work in person? There are lots of things the “team” could be doing better to get production going on a massive scale. Visiting Vietnam to check in and verify operations is one of them. A visit is overdue in my opinion.
