An executive of a US foundry gave a presentation this year on their PDK offerings. I captured a few sentences below. This presentation is not public and cannot be paid for at the moment. I will NOT say what foundry this is. I told Lebby I would make this public if they remain silent. I’d hate to ruin any surprise. So, I'm somewhat breaking my promise so that's why I am not saying the name...yet.

The point is…”This is real. This is happening”.

We all could use a little morale booster right now.

“Today this is all silicon, future plans for expansion…and I’ll show you that in a minute…you can see some of the devices that we just showed you like we have undercut under devices for good thermo-optic phase shifters, etc. and a lot of different wells and activities so it's easy to do particular kinds of devices like liquid or polymer modulators.”

I’m not 100% sure what “activities” are, but it appears to be a term for a section of a PIC that contains multiple components for a function.

There most certainly will be Tech Transfer Agreements done in 2023 and the commercial ramp most certainly will be in 2024 and HVP will come in 2025 and beyond most likely, although I would not rule out late 2024 actually

If I were one of the 22 million Short currently I would be quick to exit this position, it's not even funny to think how quickly the PPS could rise with Foundry Agreements, also keep in mind that Lebby's ultra conservative SAM/SOM guidance for 2024 does NOT include anything that is not currently contracted, so those estimates can rise substantially as these deals occur, I believe by ECOC there will be at least one or two more done, and Lebby will be revising those SAM/SOM numbers upwards in that presentation!!
