I disagree with your thinking.

2024 has always been customer acceptance i.e. getting the modulators designed into transceivers.

In May they told us what the ramp looks like in terms of quantities.

Nothing goes from 0 to a million in a year.

From the looks of it, the ~8,000 slated for next year are the initial deployments aka the test drive, and then it very quickly ramps in 2025+.

The problem we all have is that we got a taste of riches prematurely and everyone is disappointed they have to wait a bit longer to get that back.

LWLG doesn’t need to capture the whole market to be an enormous success. InP, SiPh, and TFLN solutions will undoubtedly co-exist over the coming years.

Too many people are too short-term oriented.
