afaik, MTP/MIKP is not part of AMPTP,
the studio's collective bargaining group.

if true, which i assume it is,
mark is free to negotiate terms directly
with SAG-AFTRA talent and WGA writers,
regardless of the status of the strike.

and, as before,
given there is plenty of talent that is keen to work
as bills are piling up,
mark might be able to land more prominent talent
than otherwise feasible
if he casts _wish_ before the strike is over.

but first step is signing a director,
who is the creative vision for the project
and thus the lead in casting decisions, location scouting, etc...
