“Under the project structure, Regeneron independently invents and proposes an antibody candidate, which BARDA and Regeneron will then evaluate and agree upon for further development, manufacturing and regulatory activities. Regeneron’s most advanced next-generation antibody candidate under this agreement is expected to enter clinical trials later this year.”

“Independently” doesn’t sound like they’re going to be working with an outside bio or collaborating on this Covid mab to me. But, I guess we’ll find out. If it were us, not sure why they’d be announcing everything else but stating they will be “independently” inventing and proposing mab candidates. At this point if they were working with someone else on this, why wouldn’t it be named in this press release.
