To paraphrase what you and others have said... Index funds are required to purchase LWLG stocks to meet their fund requirements and therefore Index fund share purchases don't count. Clearly that is not the case with Vanguard VTI according their prospectus and the fund managers are choosing to purchase LWLG. It would be irresponsible of them not to perform research and due diligence regardless of what you or anyone thinks their purchase criteria is, they are not adding LWLG to their Index funds at random or on a whim.
