You have to file a patent application with the USPTO - there isn't a US national phase.

Plus, with drugs a patent is meaningless in the US - a company has to pass FDA approved clinical trials and that can take many millions of dollars.

ITV-1 isn't a approved drug in the US or any other country.

Why hasn't ENZC filed with the FDA to start clinical trials? Because ITV-1 has been pumped since 1996.
