First off: Why am I doing this? You really need to read the background below to get a full sense of it, but in a nutshell when I arrived here a year ago the forum was full of devoted believers, and all of the stickies were full of enthusiastic and positive sentiments. Ok, that's how it is..but then I discovered that requests for evidence were not welcome by all but a few. The fear of shorts and wild conspiracy thinking here was simply OFF THE CHARTS crazy! But still, there was and still is a need for balance - at least one sticky of good critical questions..the more questions I asked the greater the hatred toward me grew...I tried to get a good sticky out there once by becoming moderator, but people freaked out and left, which really was a shame..so I stepped down and decided to just post my questions/issues for the board to keep some balance. Is that really why? Well read on..
Hi. I'm TP the StockGenie -- haha, that's just a moniker a friend of mine found, and it was humorous so I kept it. I am the number one enemy according to some here. They have PLEADED with fellow longs to put me on ignore. They think I TWIST everything to be negative and can't be trusted. The conspiracies about me - I'm short, a paid basher, more than one person, and even that a bot - just make me chuckle. None are true.
When I arrived a year ago I was forthright about trading options here - even showed my holdings - but that just caused people to say I have an 'agenda'. Some can't understand that a person can have an agenda and still tell the truth. My first trades were calls because I sensed the market was expecting big news beginning Q3 of '22. I lost - got in too late.
Overall I didn't do too well with the options here, though late in the year my puts paid off as shareholders got a dose of reality from the company which confirmed the skeptical conclusions I had come to fairly early on: At best they were not going to reveal anything and at second worst they hadn't accomplished their goals. At ultimate worst they were continuing on a long history of misleading investors about what to expect.
This year I've traded very little. Got burned once again when Proto posted phony headlines over ad nauseum from Bard AI announcing deals between Lightwave and Intel, TMSC, and 8 others..she/he kept it up even after being shown to be completely unreliable - as Bard just makes things up based on what it gets from rumor-saturated stock forums such as this. SO I realized the gang here has power and some will go to unethical lengths by making things up to keep the price from tanking.
Anyway, I"ve spent a LOT of time trying to figure out the truth about Lightwave because frankly - I"d love to be able to stop trading forever, park my money in a winning stock and ride out the rest of my live with no financial concerns. Who wouldn't? And Lightwave has a doozy of a story: THE solution to sending data faster with less power. If they capture the market for that - well, the sky is the limit.
But, alas, while the company has some very impressive people in Dr Lebby and their directors, and the industry really IS paying attention to the development of photonics in general and even polymers to some degree, several issues are very troubling which have kept me from going long, and even turned me into a critical skeptic. But I still watch - hoping that the company will MAKE IT even though I believe they are not being as forthright as they should be. I called it "fake it till you make it" which apparently resonated with some fellow skeptics who have adopted the phrase

So, probably the overriding reason I am posting is a bit more complicated: I DO want the price to go down. I DO think a $700 million valuation is a very questionable premium at this point. I DO think people need to be aware of the red flags here. And I DO want to find out if there are really good and reasonable rebuttals to the things that bother me about the company. All of these are motivations for posting the top 3 red flags
