Farewell and thank you for the thoughtful analysis though I disagree on the science. I believe that the science should be given a chance in real-life by regulators because leaving all else aside, DCVax-L is safe and has helped some patients, GBM patients are ‘dead anyway’ without a new treatment, Optune is a stop-gap, and regulators can always pull approval and insurers not reimbursing if DCVax-L does not achieve the results expected. Any other alternatives to DCVax-L are ‘on the horizon’ and we as NWBO shareholders know all too well how the horizon works.
Whether regulators will see it my way or your way is hard to say and it’s tough to know but the delay in filing even in the UK (supposedly the most sympathetic regulator) does not bode well. The argument that we’re winding up to throw a big punch all at once sounds like the big talk of timing the JAMA article and TLD together to have maximum impact - it sounded good but reality intervened and we saw how all that has worked out.
Your suggestion on how to handle another run up to $1 is hard to ignore. The problem is that if it is not a false run up as all others have been, saving one’s position means taking the chance life changing gains off the table. That’s not a matter of greed, that’s a matter of being afraid of getting a weak stomach at the last minute and making 10 years be for nothing.
What I hope for is big news and then a run up instead of what we’ve always seen before - a run up on rumor and then a sell off with the actual news.
As far as Linda Powers being able to keep NWBO alive even if we get rejected in the UK - yes she could and even that will not shake the faith of her hardcore supporters who would start saying MHRA is corrupt. I do not think the UK will reject us both nothing would surprise me at this point.
