I pay no attention to anything Mayo has to say. He is not a biomedical expert nor is he unbiased in his opinions about Anavex. (Have you ever heard him express any concerns or criticisms whatsoever? Of course not.)

As for Dr. Grimmer, he is a scientific advisor to Anavex and should not be speculating on the record to shareholders or anyone else about what may or may not be going on with Anavex. Sooner or later he could well say something out of school that would get the company into trouble.

Anavex should have a strict communications policy that forbids anyone connected to the company from speaking to a member of the public without prior authorization. In my experience in biotech, this is a common practice. But of course we’re talking about Anavex.
