Yeah but what damage does this guy Eppler do in the meantime. He should be getting a return for these assets. Look at the absurd Gott trade, didn't give up anything but spending 8 million of the owners money to get a guy every mets fan want to see him DFA'd at this point is insane.
I'm not patient anymore. This team has been horrific for years. I have been a fan since 1990, Haven't seen a championship. In fact they rarely make the playoff two years in a row (This was a year that should of been a layup to make the playoffs), they have only done it twice, there is 0 consistency, generally they have 1 good year than stink the next 5. Furthermore the farm has almost no pitching, so unless the owner continues to spend at a absurd rate, this team is gonna be bad for years to come. And when you have player that should net a return otherwise why trade them, getting guy in rookie ball is an unacceptable return for robertson who has pitched like a all star closer. do it in division, and get guys in rookie ball. I'm fearful I'm gonna dislike every trade, hopefully he doesn't trade good assets for nothing, he scares me, he really scares me, could you imagine this guy trades pete Alonso, maybe he would be able to get a guy in A ball. If he does which even he can't be that bad, I will no longer be a mets fan. This guy is no good, yet just like buck, nobody get fired, they keep making terrible decisions over and over again, and nothing changes.
Being patient. I have been Patient, unless ownership is planning on spending 500 Million next year, they are not gonna be good. And now hearing they are considering trading verlander, who is really pitching well, this team has no pitching, so trade the best pitching assets for non pitching prospects how does that help. Everyone is going on and on that you have no pitching in the farm, so not only are the guys in rookie ball, but they are not pitchers. Please fire eppler, anytime would not be soon enough, he must go, I rather have a clown makes these baseball decisions. I so badly want past this deadline, because I'm fearful (Been fearful for months) he is gonna do something real stupid that sets this franchise back more. All is just my opinion of course.
