Boeing seen beating Airbus for the largest-ever aircraft order - Jefferies

Turkish Airlines (IS:THYAO) Chairman of the Board Ahmet Bolat said yesterday that the global airline is looking at potentially ordering 600 aircraft next month.

Bolat said that the announcement will take place at the upcoming International Air Transport Association (IATA) Assembly General Meeting in Istanbul.

He added that the talks are ongoing with Boeing (NYSE:BA) for a part of the order with Turkish looking to order 200 widebody and 400 narrowbody jetliners.

WASHINGTON/DUBLIN (Reuters) -Ireland's Ryanair unveiled a multibillion-dollar deal for as many as 300 Boeing (NYSE:BA) jets on Tuesday, burying the hatchet with its biggest supplier after an 18-month public feud over prices strained one of aviation's closest partnerships.

Europe's largest low-cost carrier said it was placing a firm order for 150 of the largest version of Boeing's narrow-body jet family, known as the 737 MAX 10, with options for another 150.

That's 750 aircraft orders that Boeing will probably get, with an option for 150 more. So possibly a 900 aircraft order for both wide and narrow body Boeing jets.
